Hatha Yoga is the branch of yoga that involves physical postures, breathing techniques and other practices to strengthen the physical body and to purify and balance one’s energy to increase vitality, equanimity and joy of life.
Daniel is a true seeker who has dedicated his life to the practice and teaching of yoga. At the age of 25 he lived with his guru in the Indian Himalayas and he practiced intensely day and night all aspects of yoga – asana, pranayama, bandha, mudra, mantra, kriya, and meditation. His thirst for knowledge led him into deep study of yogic scriptures and philosophy, at the University in Varanassi, where he was also initiated into Tantra by a genuine master.
He then started and directed a successful yoga centre in Sweden for more than 10 years and now he travels internationally to give workshops and retreats of the rare teachings and techniques he has received.
With contagious enthusiasm Daniel integrates the teachings of modern yoga with the precious teachings of his Guru. Through Yoga he shares the experience of Kundalini in your body, and through meditation he guides this energy into the brain and help you to go beyond your mind to have a direct and personal experience of your innermost spiritual self. As a true seeker, who after 20 years of research has found, Daniel is not only a teacher but a spiritual channel who shares his insights with clarity, humour and love.
Festival class descriptions:
1) 13-14.15 Outdoors yoga -Traditional Hatha Yoga – Daniel will use yoga postures (asana) and breathing techniques (pranayama) and concentration technique (Dharana) to open your body and mind for the festival spirit. It will be a simple, but powerful, class that anyone can join.
2) 17-18.15 indoors workshop -Traditional Hatha Yoga- In this session we will dive deeper into the theory of traditional yoga and learn, as well as experience through practice, the energy of Kundalini through the use of postures (asana) breathing techniques (pranayama) and energy manipulation techniques (Mudra and Bandha)
23 July3) 9-10.15 meditation workshop – Meditation – Daniel will guide you into a deep state of meditation through the use of traditional yogic meditation techniques that are rarely taught in todays modern yoga scene. The class is open to all who have an interest in the deeper spiritual aspects of themselves.
4) 15-16.15 yoga outdoors – Traditional Hatha Yoga – This is the last session on the festival and it will be a gentle and harmonising yoga class that begin with postures and end with a short meditation, leaving you inspired and at peace. The class will is easy to follow, yet profoundly rewarding.
